Spring Plant Sale at Historic London Town and Gardens
 
 
Annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs and kitchen garden specialties will be for sale on Saturday, April 30 at Historic London Town and Gardens from 8 a.m. to noon. Anne Arundel County Master Gardeners and London Town’s new Director of Horticulture, Nathan Powers, will offer advice on plant selection and culture.
 
A special Member Appreciation Preview Sale will be held on Friday, April 29 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Become a member, purchase plants in advance of the Saturday sale, and receive a 10% discount.
 
The sale will feature plants that are found in London Town’s eight-acre Woodland Garden, including unusual native and exotic plant species, a selection of cold-hardy camellias, as well as new and unusual varieties. For the kitchen gardener, over 50 varieties of heirloom tomatoes will be available. A wide array of popular bedding annuals, herbs and flowering containers, provided by Melwood, can also be obtained.
 
On Saturday, bring the family and stay for a May Day celebration in the garden – maypole dancing and music will be featured. Fairy wands and pixie crowns will be available to all who help celebrate this spring time event. For more information, visit our website, www.historiclondontown.org.
