Research

Though many historical records relating to London Town have been lost over the years, historians, archaeologists, and other researchers associated with the London Town Foundation and/or the Anne Arundel County Lost Towns Project have accomplished many research projects that shed some light on London Town’s history.

Independent researchers may take advantage of both these online reports as well as a research library located in the archaeology lab of the Anne Arundel County Lost Towns Project located at Historic London Town and Gardens. This library is a collaborative effort between the Anne Arundel County Public Library, Historic London Town and Gardens, and the Anne Arundel County Lost Towns Project. The online catalogue can be found here.

Below are some of the reports and findings used by Historic London Town and Gardens to interpret the site. Additional reports will be made available as time allows.
