Volunteering Opportunities
Individual Volunteering
The programs offered by Historic London Town and Gardens could not occur without our volunteers. They are one of our finest assets and are essential to our day-to-day operations. They give their time and talent freely to explore, preserve, and interpret the history of one of Maryland's earliest seaports and roughly 10 acres of woodland and ornamental gardens.
If you are interested in volunteering, you can apply online. Mark your calendars, our next volunteer training will on February 24th and March 1st, 2026.
Immediate Openings:
-
Horticulture/Gardens: Volunteers work in the gardens, generally on Tuesdays. There are some special workdays on Saturdays. Our horticulture team will provide hands on learning opportunities.
-
Docents: Give information to visitors of the Historic William Brown House, shifts available Tuesdays - Saturdays. View the job description: LINK.
-
Special Events: Volunteers assist with special programs as needed.
-
Office/Administration Support: Volunteers provide administrative assistance to staff on as needed basis.
Group Volunteer Opportunity:
Would your group be interested in volunteering to help restore London Town's gardens and positively impact our local environment? Volunteering is free and your service hours are a big help to our gardens. All tools, gloves and bug spray are provided.
