Traveling Trunks!

Rent a Traveling Trunk
One of the best parts of a field trip to London Town is the opportunity to see, touch, and experience life in the Colonial Chesapeake. If you can’t come to us, let us come to you! We have a series of Traveling Trunks with objects and lesson plans to bring the hands-on learning of London Town into your classroom.
These trunks have a week on, week off travelling schedule with a stringent disinfecting procedure during their time at London Town to ensure they’re as safe as possible before coming to your class.
-
Each trunk costs $25 to rent for one week.
-
$15 for each additional week.
-
All boxes must be picked up and returned in person to our site in Edgewater, MD. Unfortunately, at this time we cannot ship these trunks.
-
Email education@historiclondontown.org to rent the trunks. See below for what information to include
Add a Facilitator (Synchronous Guided Experience)
If you’d like to take your experience to the next level, one of our trained Museum Educators can Zoom into your classroom and lead the students in conversation and activities around the objects in your trunk.
If your school allows, an Educator could come into your classroom (following all required health and safety measures) to have a more in-depth, in-person experience.
-
Online or in-person, facilitated programs start at $25 for an hour. (Mileage will be assessed outside a 20-mile round trip radius)
-
Email education@historiclondontown.org to add the museum educator facilitator.
